A Message From Our Chair
Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy. The refusal of Republicans to recognize the attack on our capitol is a threat to our democracy. Partisan Gerrymandering is a threat to our democracy. Voter restriction laws and empowering state legislatures to overturn elections are threats to our democracy.
Party officers are covered up with meetings and paperwork from the state party. Much is necessary, all is time consuming. Democrats are emailing, texting and talking about the latest Republican outrage.
Suppose your house catches on fire. Would you be mowing the lawn as it burned? Chatting with a neighbor in the driveway? Folks, the house IS on fire!
Let’s tap into our outrage and passion. My challenge to you is to put this energy into turning out Democrats and building our base of voters. It is time for Democrats to do what we can, with what we have, where we are.
How to Turn Talk Into Action:
Volunteer! Write postcards. Make calls to invite people to a precinct meeting. Learn new ways to speak up when someone says, “Biden is destroying America”. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Ian Cowie, volunteers@transcodems.com or your local Precinct Chair.
