Candidate Forum 2023
Join us Wednesday, October 18, 5:30-8:00 pm at the Transylvania County Library Rogo Room for another opportunity to hear from candidates for the Brevard City Council (3 open seats) + the Town of Rosman Mayor.
Hosted by the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, which has invited all candidates from the Town of Rosman Mayor and Brevard City Council races to participate. The following candidates have RSVP’d to attend:
Panel #1 (5:45pm): Ricky Traylor
Panel #2 (6:20pm): Ray Brewster, Gary Daniel, Wes Dickson, Madeline Hanley, Pamela Holder, and Lauren Wise
The forum will be live-streamed on the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and broadcast on WSQL. The format will be an equal-time Q & A session with a single moderator, John Lanier. The moderator will introduce each candidate and ask at least five questions for each panel, with extra questions if time allows. Each candidate will have 1.5 minutes to answer each question. There will also be 1.5 minutes given to each candidate to make a closing statement at the end of each panel. There will be a 10-minute break between Panel #1 and Panel #2.
The public was invited to submit unbiased and relevant questions for the candidates on topics of public interest. A committee from the Chamber Board of Directors is reviewing and will approve the final list of questions in advance. The questions are not available to candidates in advance.
