Be Proud, Be Vocal

Democrats, Independents, Friends THE BIDEN JOBS RECOVERY IS HISTORIC.

It Matters that You Vote and Who You Vote for. Republicans have Proven Again and Again that their Values and Policies are Not for Working People in America.

  • The American jobs machine is roaring at full speed, fueling a strong recovery, and opportunity for hard working men and women all across our great country. Thanks to President Biden’s economic vision, the Rescue Plan, and our successful vaccination program, Americans are back at work at a record-setting pace.

  • We learned that the unemployment rate dropped to 3.6% -- nearly where we were before the pandemic. This is just the second economic expansion in over half of a century where we’ve reached that level.

  • The administration created 431,000 jobs in March, bringing us to 7.9 million jobs created since the president took office. And we’ve added 473,000 manufacturing jobs as companies continue to reinvest in making things in America again.

  • And more and more Americans are getting off the sidelines and getting back to work. Now, the Labor Force Participation Rate ticked up again, including substantial gains among workers in their prime years, and yesterday’s UI data showed the number of Americans collecting government unemployment benefits at the lowest levels in a half-century.

  • And those Americans have more money in their pockets, with wages up by 0.4% over the last month.

  • This didn’t happen by accident – our economy is booming and Americans have job opportunities because of the steps the president took to get our economy moving again and get the pandemic under control. Before his Rescue Plan, the Congressional Budget Office didn’t think we’d hit this level of unemployment this decade.

  • And because of the president’s plan, we’re able to weather the challenges that come our way – from Russia’s war of aggression to new variants of COVID-19 – and keep our economy moving forward.

  •  We still have work to do to build on the success of the last 14 months and drive prices down for working families.

    • We’re already strengthening our supply chains and infrastructure through the Bipartisan Infrastructure, and we can make more in America if Congress passes the Bipartisan Innovation Act.

    • Making sure big companies are offering consumers fair prices.

    • Passing the President’s plan to lower the cost of household essentials like health care, prescription drugs, and energy – building on the wartime bridge he announced with a historic release from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
