Transylvania County Democrats Announce Precinct Meetings

The Transylvania County Democratic Party is launching their 2022 midterm election campaign by organizing virtual precinct meetings in the coming few weeks. These meetings will serve to give County residents a chance to express their concerns and opinions on the issues we face together and to discover how they can help elect Democratic Party candidates proposing real solutions.

Dateline: Brevard, NC; October 12, 2021 - Transylvania County Democrats are concerned with issues that affect all citizens - particularly women, working class folks, and children - as well as responsible economic development, sustainability, and efficiency in government.

The municipal elections of last November indicated that Brevard residents share those concerns, electing Democrats and Independents committed to solving those same issues.

According to Peggy Reed, Party Secretary and precinct organizer, “Precinct meetings allow people to learn about and organize behind local candidates, and also line up support for district and state candidates as well as those we’ll send to Washington. This is a key part of our unique and precious democratic process. Given the situation with Covid, we’ll be holding these meetings via Zoom. If you share our concerns and hopes for Transylvania County, we hope you’ll join us at your local meeting. Please contact me via email for instructions on how to participate - secretary@transcodems.com .”
